We recently shared the exciting news that beauty brand LUSH rewarded innovative scientists and advocates who are against animal testing with a whopping $445,000 as part of the generously-funded LUSH Prize! This isn’t anything new for the eco-friendly brand. The company has long had a strong stance against animal cruelty, actively fighting to ban animal testing at the legislative level for years. They also stand for eliminating as much plastic packaging as possible; their face masks and body washes come in containers made from recycled plastic and their soaps come wrapped in paper rather than plastic.

And now LUSH is once again walking the walk and giving us something else to rave about … they have launched their Christmas collection and the 100-item line is VEGAN and CRUELTY-FREE! Woohoo!

The collection offers classic LUSH products, but also seasonal products, such as Christmas Sweater Bath Bomb (a fizzy bomb infused with clove, coriander, and lemon printed with festive reindeer), Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Scrub (an exfoliating sugar scrub for lips infused with black currant flavor), and Twilight Sprinkle Jar (a moon-shaped container housing lavender-infused powder that glitters when sprinkled on skin). Um, we want it all!

If that wasn’t enough, LUSH is also offering some of the products “naked” meaning they come without any packaging as part of the company’s efforts to cut back on plastic waste. Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the holidays!

What’s more, LUSH ethics director Hilary Jones recently said that the company is removing ALL remaining animal products from their formulas. The perfect gift for animals!

Being cruelty-free goes well beyond what we eat; it means being conscious that all products that we use, from clothing to furniture to soaps and cosmetics do not harm animals in any way. To learn about some more cruelty-free cosmetics brands, check this out.
