We come across a lot of really adorable cat stories – and we’re certainly not complaining. Just recently, there was the story of a family who rescued a stray kitten … only to have the little one adopt the family’s adult male cat as her own dad! There was also the viral story of a woman who almost didn’t make it through dental school if it wasn’t for the help her cat that still leaves us with watery eyes.

So when we came across a story of a tiny orphaned kitten who walked up the couple asking for help, we were instantly touched.

Recently, a couple found a tiny kitten in the street, abandoned. The little one came up the couple, crying, asking for help.

Without question, they took the kitten home. Since the little one had an injured foot, they took him to the vet and slowly he began to heal.

The couple, who have been sharing adorable photos of the kitten on Instagram, believe that the kitten was left behind by his mother and was wandering the streets on his own trying to survive until the couple found him.

The dedicated couple feeds the kitten around the clock with a syringe until he will be big enough for a bottle. Just look at that tiny face!

The kitten has become best friends with the couple’s little girl. A great way to teach kids compassion towards animals, plus children with a companion animal in the home have higher self-esteem!

It’s been a month now since the rescue and thanks to the dedication of the kind couple, the feline has made a full recovery. He loves spending time with his human baby BFF, as well as the couple’s other cat. And like any kitten, he loves to play with his guardian’s feet!

This story is certainly adorable but it also serves as a reminder of how we can help end the pet homelessness problem. 2.7 million dogs and cats are euthanized every day due to shelter overcrowding and limited funds, but we can all help stop this. Saving one animal may not solve the pet homelessness problem for good, but for that one animal, their life is changed forever. If you’re thinking of adding a loyal best friend to your family, please remember to always adopt and never shop.

That\'s how I got one of my cats. Stray cat had kittens above unused office space in our shop at work. One of them fell through the drop ceiling. One of my co-workers happened to go into the unused space to retrieve something from storage when a little black ball of fluff ran over to him and tried to climb his leg. Not sure how long the kitten had been there, but was best guess by my vet was 4-5 weeks old. I\'ve had her about 10 years now and she\'s still quite the character.

Similar here, found a 8-10 week old kitten in a parking lot near my house while out walking the dogs. That was almost 4 years ago and doing great, she still doesn\'t care for the dogs but we make it work, could never bring myself to take her to a shelter.
