The Change for Animals Foundation (CFAF) is a UK-based non-profit organization that works with animal welfare groups all around the globe, providing them with any needed resources and expertise. CFAF is fighting animal cruelty in many significant ways. Several of their campaigns involve saving animals from the wildlife pet trade and educating the public about the devastating suffering of captive wild animals.
In the above video, CFAF reveals what goes on in Indonesia’s wildlife pet trade. Fueled by greed, people capture innocent animals from the wild to be sold as pets and used as tourist attractions. Often, they kidnap babies from their mothers, as babies are easier to train to be around humans. Seeing as greed is the driving motive, the health and well-being of these captive animals are neglected. All of these animals suffer tremendously, and many die as a result of the pet trade.
If you are moved by this video, please consider making a donation to CFAF and becoming a part of the solution to ending the wildlife pet trade. And please remember, wild animals belong in the wild, not as pets!
