Who would do something like this!? In Saint Rose, Louisiana a small dog was found DRENCHED IN CHEMICALS and left for DEAD. A local resident and volunteer of the Metairie Humane Society found the abused dog in a garden and immediately called the shelter.
“He was saved by the wonderful volunteers at Metairie Humane Shelter where he is being treated for chemical burns to most of his body and has a long road to recovery,” the shelter shared on Facebook.
The dog, now named Baby Boy, was severely burned with chemicals and is being treated with hydrotherapy, medicated baths, and pain control to keep him comfortable.
The staff of Metairie Humane Shelter has also diligently been working on removing the dead skin from Baby Boy’s body.
Baby Boy has a long road of recovery ahead of him, but we are thankful that he is finally in caring hands!
Baby Boy didn’t have any identification and was not microchipped, so it’s unknown who committed this horrible crime. Please help find the person responsible by SHARING this article with everyone you know! If anyone recognizes Baby Boy, Metairie Humane Society asks that you contact them directly at 504-451-2822. Someone must know something!
Baby Boy is currently being cared for at Arch Animal Hospital, and if you’d like to make a donation towards his treatment, you can call 504-834-0906.
