This little fawn was trapped, tangled in thorns and in the path of a tree that was about to be cut down. But these workers took the time to cut him free.

He was nervous and shaken after his ordeal, so to calm him down, one of the workers cradled him in his arms and scratched his belly. The fawn calmed down straight away. All was well, and it was time to set the little guy free, right? Well… the fawn did not agree! Every time the man tries to set him back on the ground, he cries and kicks his feet. This little guy acclimated to luxury pretty quick! He knew a good thing when he felt it, and he wasn’t going to give it up easily.

Even when they finally did get him to give up the “lap of luxury” that was those tummy scratches, he followed them around like a lost puppy. That is, until one of the workers noticed a doe watching from a nearby hill. Assuming she was the fawns mother, the worker carried the fawn half way up the hill and set him down. When the baby caught sight of his mama, he ran straight to her. The two of them quickly walked off together, back into their ordinary deer lives.

But I bet he’ll never forget his awesome belly-rubbing babysitters! And they won’t forget that little fawn very easily either.
