Once again its that time if year where we ditch the shorts and tank tops in favor of bulky coats, hot chocolate, and thick, cozy blankets. But it’s important to remember that while we’re cozy and warm, stray animals like dogs and cats are freezing their little tails off! Luckily, there are a few things you can do to help them out. Or, if you want to be really awesome, you can go the extra mile like this kitty loving family!
When the frigid temperature in Montreal dropped to -33 degrees Celsius (-27 degrees Fahrenheit), this cat and her baby took shelter from the cold in a family’s solarium.
These cats had never lived with humans so they would flee whenever the family got too close. Luckily they were trusting enough to allow them to take cute selfies!
Their new gracious human hosts fed them too! This might be the first decent meal these cats have gotten in days.
The cats became more trusting with each passing day. You know what they say, the way to a cat’s heart is through their stomach!
The solarium wasn’t heated, but eliminating the windchill was more than enough to keep these kitties happy!
But in another act of kindness, the family brought out a heating lamp for the kitties! Free food, warm blankets, and a safe place to sleep. What more could a cat want!
“Ahhhh, this is the life!”
We’re so grateful for what this family has done for these cats! Who knows what could have happened to them otherwise.
