The Trio Animal Foundation (TAF) in Chicago, Illinois is a non-profit organization that provides medical care for homeless animals and promotes their adoption. When TAF received the news an emaciated dog was roaming the streets searching for food in a dangerous area of Chicago, they were soon on the scene to rescue him. After meeting the dear dog, rescuers decided to name him Eastwood.
This is how they found Eastwood – in dreadful conditions scrounging for scraps of food in a dangerous area.
Thankfully, rescuers were able to gain his trust and get him on a “lucky leash.”
The poor pup was so malnourished, every bone was jutting out under his thin layer of fur. After being examined by a vet, it was discovered Eastwood’s stomach was full of animal bones and METAL.
Eastwood has been malnourished for so long that even his face is sunken in. Despite his rough life on the streets, his gentle soul is evident in this image here.
This sweet dog has a long road to recovery. He is safe at the shelter now and is being monitored under close supervision. They are waiting for him to pass the bones and metal naturally, but if this does not happen soon, he will have to undergo surgery to remove these foreign objects from his body.
We are very grateful to Trio Animal Foundation for saving this helpless animal. However, they cannot do this all on their own. You can help save Eastwood’s life by visiting their website and making a donation to assist him on his road to recovery.
