We really can’t believe this. Recently, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, a volunteer, and foster based rescue organization in New York got a call from rescuers in Alabama about a dog in horrible condition. The dog, named Candy, had been left to fend for herself for so long that mange had overcome her skin. The mange is so bad, Candy looks like she is made of stone.
Candy weighs about 25 pounds and is five years old but due to the severe mange, her breed is unknown.
As Rescue Dogs Rock NYC points out, mange is easily treated, so why was Candy left to suffer for so long?
The group says that Candy is, “Candy is calm and sweet and good with people and dogs!”
Now, thanks to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, Candy is getting a second chance and the medical attention she needs. We can’t wait to watch her recovery!
As you can imagine, Candy’s bills are piling up. If you are able to donate to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, click here. Even the smallest of donations can go a long way. We will be rooting for you, Candy!
