Guardians of Rescue is a non-profit organization based in New York whose mission, “is to facilitate and foster programs and activities that further the uniquely symbiotic and therapeutic benefits of interaction between people and animals.” In other words, the staff and volunteers at Guardians of Rescue are our heroes. And this story proves how Guardians of Rescue are truly unsung rock stars who go above and beyond when an animal is in need.
Ollie was found wandering the area of Redland, Florida and although local volunteers of the Redland Rockpit Abandoned Dog Project had never seen the little one before, they knew he needed immediate help. And good thing they stopped to help. Ollie had been the victim of neglect, cruelty, and was in immense pain.
Ollie was rushed to the emergency vet and staff determined someone had shaved and painted him. Sadly, the paint was causing severe irritation to his skin. It’s evident whoever did this didn’t care at all about Ollie and somehow found painting him to be entertaining.
The vet staff did their best at removing the paint from Ollie’s skin and cleaning him up as much as possible. With the skin being so irritated, the paint couldn’t immediately be removed.
Guardians of Rescue say in their Facebook post they are awaiting updates. We hope Ollie pulls through.
