Dog Surfing Competition Raises $100,000 for Animal Center (VIDEO)

Around 80 dogs gathered in Del Mar, California over the weekend to ride the waves and raise some money at the largest dog surfing competition in the nation.

Buddy, a Jack Russell Terrier was named “top dog.” He won a trophy and a year’s supply of food from Eukanuba. In addition, since Buddy has won five of the six Surf Dog Surf-A-Thons, he also became the first inductee into the Surf Dog Hall of Fame.

The competition raised more than $100,000 for the no-kill Helen Woodward Animal Center.
