Animals seem to pick the most ironic situations to make contact. In this video, a curious seal decides to get up close and personal with some duck hunters.

Just like the video of the fearless deer a few weeks ago, this seal seems unfazed by the hunters themselves or their guns. At one point, the seal even jumps up on to one hunter’s lap. Perhaps he thought it was Santa!

Even though the hunters find the seal cute, calling him, “Buddy,” and asking him, “What’s your name?” the fact is they are in an active hunt to kill ducks. Once again, the irony seems lost on the hunters — how can you sit there and find one animal cute while waiting to shoot another near by?

Obviously, nature is trying to reach out to these hunters to show them that there’s something more to the animals of this world — that they deserve our kindness and respect, and not to be at the end of our guns.

why is the seal "cool," according to the hunter, but those majestic ducks in the water are targets or dinner?

What everyone whining doesn't understand is that hunters are the biggest contributors to conservation. And that good wildlife management practices (which includes hunting) actually promotes wildlife population numbers.

I hope they understood what their seal friend was trying to tell them, to stop killing animals.

James, you are correct in wondering how many anti-hunting people will be eating a vegetarian meal. Not many as most people on this thread are vegan......

Humans are always about killing something.

Wow - it could've innocently sacrificed itself to warm a heart and make a human consider being more humane
