All of our dreams are coming true! Los Angeles-based chef, Matthew Kenney, the founder of Matthew Kenney Cuisine, has developed numerous restaurants in major cities across the world and focuses entirely on plant-based foods. As we shared, Kenney opened up a vegan restaurant in London’s Shoreditch district earlier this year, as well as a new vegan restaurant in New York City called XYST (pronounced Exist) that features Mediterranean inspired cuisine and cocktails. It seems like this year’s exciting announcements for Kenney haven’t slowed down because now Matthew Kenney Cuisine is launching a GOURMET FROZEN VEGAN  PIZZA LINE!

The chef-driven, plant-based gourmet pizza line was inspired by Kenney’s all-vegan pizza restaurant, Double Zero in New York City. The pizza line is aptly named Double Zero Now and some of the yummy flavors include Autumnal Pumpkin, Wild Mushroom, and Shaved Truffle!

Double Zero Now will be available in stores nationwide starting in the second quarter of 2018. In addition, the pizza line will be in a small number of retail shops, first starting in San Francisco. The shops will sell freshly made pizza you can conveniently cook right at home!

As a leader in the plant-based world, Kenney has long been proving that it’s easy to eat out if you’re avoiding animal products. And now with his new all-vegan pizza line, Kenney is proving just how accessible convenient, healthy food can be.

We are sure Kenney’s new pizza line will be a huge success considering how consumers are largely moving away from meat and dairy while also seeking out less processed foods. This new shift not only caters to vegans, it also provides healthy options for those who want to reduce their consumption of animal products, whether it be for health, environmental, or animal welfare reasons.

Recent studies have shown that around one-third of Americans are choosing to leave meat off their plates more frequently and a 2015 survey by market analyst Mintel found that 61 percent of consumers say they enjoy menu items that heavily feature vegetables. Sounds like Double Zero Now is right up that alley! We can’t wait to try all of the pizzas!

If you are curious to know more about Matthew Kenney and his future plans to bring exquisite plant-based food to the masses, tune in to next week’s episode of #EatForThePlanet with Nil Zacharias!
