The livestock industry is riddled with cruelty and inhumane practices that torture and kill innocent animals, pollute our environment and precious water sources, contribute to global climate change, encroach on public lands, and push wildlife to extinction. Thankfully, however, there are many groups worldwide that are working tirelessly to combat the cruelty of the livestock industry, including the animal rescue sanctuary in Valencia, Spain called Santuario Compasión Animal.
In the above video shared by the sanctuary, we see an adorable baby lamb named Jenaro peacefully cuddling his caretaker as a content smile grows on his fuzzy little face. This sweet baby was found alone in a field helplessly crying for his mother after he was separated from her, as is common practice in the livestock sheep industry. As Santuario Compasión Animal explains, male lambs have no chance in the livestock industry, and most are slaughtered by just three months of age.
We are grateful for the sanctuary taking in baby Jenaro, but there are still many more animals like him in need of rescue and care. If you are able, please consider making a donation to Santuario Compasión Animal, which you can do here.
And please share this adorable video with your friends and family!
