Why You Should Listen
This episode features a recording of the panel entitled “A Broken Food System: How Does Conventional Animal Agriculture Impact Our World,” which was moderated by Nil Zacharias. The introductory remarks from Nil give a brief overview of the problems facing our global food system and details how our reliance on and demand for cheap meat and dairy is going to leave us with a pillaged environment that is incapable of feeding a population of 9.7 billion by 2050. The good news is, the panelists all have their own take on this issue and propose practical solutions according to their individual field of expertise.
After each panelist presents for about five minutes, the floor is opened to questions from Nil as well as members of the audience. If you want to skip ahead to hear the open questions, it comes about 45 minutes into the episode.
